Tiina Pajukari elected to the Board of the National Union of University Students in Finland for 2022
Tiina Pajukari has been elected a member of the Board of the National Union of University Students in Finland (SYL) for 2022. The annual general meeting held in Korpilampi, Espoo on 19–20 November voted for the board members on Saturday night.
"I am very excited and grateful for the confidence that the general assembly has placed in me. Next year will be hugely important as we repair the damage to students' mental health caused by the corona and influence parties' parliamentary election programs," Pajukari commented.
This year Pajukari has served as a member of the board of the Aalto University Student Union with responsibility for social policy, welfare, elections and sustainable development. Pajukari has previously served on AYY's Representative Council, as a volunteer and as a student representative in administration. She has also been active for many years on the board of Guild of Information Networks Athene ry guild.
The annual general meeting elects SYL's board and decides on the union's operations in 2022. The National Union of University Students in Finland represents more than 130,000 university students. The union influences education policy, social policy and international issues.
