Residential committee members appointed for 2024

This year, the 2023 annual residents' democracy meetings were held at the Student Centre on 29 and 30 November, with AYY as the main organizer. The meetings started with a collective session, covering financial and property affairs along with the basics of rent determination. Following this, residents from each property convened in a separate meeting to elect members of the residents' committee and nominate candidate for the AYY Finance Board.

At the beginning of the upcoming year, we will conduct training sessions for the new residents’ committees. These sessions will cover the essentials of the Act on Joint Management of Rental Buildings and guide the residents in managing the resident budget. This training session is new and replaces the former training of castle wardens. The chairs of the residents’ committees are automatically nominated as members of the housing cooperation body.

The term of the new residents’ committees will begin in January 2024. The names of the committee chairs will be updated on both the website and the notice boards of the buildings at the beginning of the year.

Last housing cooperation (ASY) meeting of the year 11 Dec

The housing cooperation body ASY will meet for the last time this year on 11 December.

During the meetings, all members have the opportunity to provide feedback on the past year. AYY would like to thank all ASY members for their active involvement in addressing residential affairs!
